Update on Legislation from the 2024 Session - Speaker: Bob Battles

Biography:

Bob Battles is AWB’s director of government affairs on workers’ compensation, unemployment insurance, and other workplace issues, including employment law, wage and hour issues, workplace safety and legal affairs. Bob also serves as AWB’s general counsel.

Bob has more than two decades of experience as an attorney specializing in workplace issues and government affairs.

Program Information:

Bob will give an overview of significant HR bills that were introduced in the 2024 legislative session. He will provide insight on what those bills mean to employers, employees and HR.  He will explain what bills passed and what bills are expected to be seen in future sessions.  As part of this presentation Bob will discuss how advocacy by each of you can make a difference in what passes during  session.
