Workforce Services: Programs and Resources for Businesses​

Thurston County Chamber's Workforce Development programs support businesses businesses across Thurston, Mason, Lewis, Grays Harbor and Pacific counties with recruitment, training, and retention best practices; and how to utilize federal investments to offset costs. We are focused on connecting our businesses with employees, while balancing the needs of our workforce to find occupations that lead to self-sufficiency.

Biography:

Christina is a Director of Workforce Programs where she directs businesses in the community toward services for work-based learning. Her team provides support for businesses around recruitment, training and retention best practices and how federal funding may offset some of the costs.  
 
Christina began as an AmeriCorps working for the Thurston Chamber before being officially hired in 2015. In her time at the Chamber, Christina is especially proud of her work with the Inspire platform which provides local youth with a virtual mentor to assist in professional development. Christina started the Inspire Program as an AmeriCorps and was responsible for launching it in 2014. 
 
Christina received a BS in Psychology from Eastern Oregon University and is a Washington native who currently lives in Rochester, WA. In her free time, Christina skates for the South Sound Roller Derby League and loves to go camping with her husband and two sons.
