SHRM Olympia is proud to present Ben Eckhart, of Archbright to provide an employment law update for 2022!
Biography:
Ben Eckhart is a Staff Attorney for Archbright. In his role, he advises and guides members, conducts investigations, and facilitates trainings. Previously, he worked as an attorney at Winterbauer & Diamond, a boutique employment defense law firm in Seattle. He earned his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, his J.D. from the University of Denver, School of Law, and is a member of the Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI) and the King County Bar Association. Ben is licensed to practice law in Washington.

Description: Stay updated on the recent developments in labor and employment law. We will review the effects—positive and negative—of recent litigation, legislation, and agency trends. Additionally, we will explore a wide range of cutting-edge labor and employment topics impacting Washington employers of all sizes.
Participants will:
- Changes to paid family and medical leave in 2022
- Latest activity with COVID vaccine mandates and legislative changes impacting employees
- Updates on other laws and court cases covering wage and hour, independent contractors, EEOC and ADA, and the future of remote work
