    SHRM Olympia is proud to present our very own 2021 President, Wayne Jones to kick off the new year with an engaging and timely presentation on Change Management! 

     

                                                            

    Biography:
    Wayne is our current 2021 President and previously served SHRM Olympia as Director of Workforce Readiness, Director of Government Affairs, and 2014/2016 Chapter President. Wayne is employed with Thurston County as a Senior Human Resources Analyst and Civil Service Chief Examiner. He previously worked for the Washington State Employment Security Department as a Local Veterans’ Employment Representative and Business Consultant, helping Veterans find high-paying and meaningful employment while assisting businesses in their recruitment, assessment, training, and selection processes. Wayne is a US Army Retiree with extensive background in human resources management, organizational development, EEO/Affirmative Action, and training development and delivery. He became a HRCI-certified Professional in Human Resources in 2011 and a SHRM Certified Professional in 2015. He holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management and Graduate Certificates in Organizational Leadership and Human Resources Management.

    • Identify resistors to change
    • Manage resistors to change by creating employee buy-in
