    Program Information:

In Human Resources, we often shy away from workplace politics because we fear getting lost in the middle of them. Whether you participate or not, workplace politics exist and those who participate advance their agendas, right or wrong. From watercooler gossip to sabotage between leadership members, these politics exist at every level of your organization. Toxic workplace politics are what is stopping your company from creating a solid succession plan, knowledge transfer, and what’s causing your young new talent to leave after you’ve poured countless resources into training them. In this session, we’ll explore mastering your own ego, motivations, and emotional intelligence to appeal to those around you to advance your ideas, your career, and your organization.

    Session Topics:

    • Understand the role of workplace politics in organizational culture and progression.
    • Understand ego, motivation, and emotional intelligence and the role of each in workplace politics.
    • Methods to combat toxic workplace politics.
