Creating a Culture of What Works

In every organization there’s something that works, and yet, whenever there’s something to be done, conversations tend to focus on what’s holding the organization back – whether that’s people, resources, or external conditions. The discouraging nature of these deficit-based conversations also hold people back from realizing their full potential, which begins to account for why 70% of all strategic execution fails.

Employees increasingly want both success and significance. They want to engage their minds, hearts, purpose, and spirit in work that is seen as important.

So, what if we could have conversations about creating strategy that inspires innovation and engagement, connecting the dots between individuals and organizations? We can. It begins with a proven strategic conversation framework that focuses on what works and what’s possible fueled by our understanding of what generates energy for, and attention to, results.

    Biography:

Kelly Stewart is the Founder of The Positive Business, helping leaders tap into the unrealized potential within their organizations.

Kelly helps leaders maximize the conversations they have with the people who are essential to their success. She designs and facilitates strategic conversations for business leaders who want to move their organizations forward, are genuinely interested in involving their teams and are committed to the outcomes. She is a certified Conversations Worth Having trainer, teaching people to improve their inner dialogue, how they communicate with one another, and how to think strategically.

Kelly has leadership experience in Client Services, New Business Development, and Marketing in the B2B space and K-12 education. She’s a co-host of the Doing (good) Business podcast and co-facilitates Monday Kickstarters: Turn Stress & Challenges into Conversations Worth Having through the Center for Appreciative Inquiry.

Today, Kelly works with small and mid-sized B2B businesses and non-profit organizations designing and facilitating strategic conversations to talk about “what’s possible” based on “what works,” a proven effective approach based in part on a simple truth: people commit to what they help create. It is also through these conversations that business leaders are better able to challenge their strategic assumptions, understand subtle market shifts, and learn what resources are needed to achieve their vision.
