    Washington will be the fifth state to offer paid family and medical leave benefits starting in 2020, but employers have action to take in 2019.  Get a jump on 2019 and learn how your business can prepare to implement this mandatory program by the Washington State Employment Security Department.

    Presenter Bio

    Matt LaPalm is the Small Business Specialist in the Paid Family and Medical Leave team at the Employment Security Department. With a background in small and medium businesses, he understands how challenging running a business can be and how this new statewide insurance program will impact Washington’s small and independent employers.
