SHRM Olympia is proud to present the Washington State SHRM Chapter
President Ms. Nancy Kasmar. Nancy is a Principal with Compensation
Connections. Ms. Kasmar has over 25 years of management experience
in addition to more than ten years in human resources. She received her
Master of Science degree from the University of California, San
Francisco, and a Certificate in Management from the University of
California, San Diego. Nancy holds a Senior Professional in Human
Resources (SPHR) designation with an additional certification as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP). She is also certified as a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
Nancy will challenge your thinking about invisible disabilities. This presentation is designed to provide HR professionals with knowledge and guidance on the impact of invisible disabilities on their workforce and their organization’s bottom line. The discussion will include information on the prevalence and cost of invisible disabilities, disability etiquette, and techniques to encourage disclosure of invisible disabilities by employees. Participants will leave with tools and resources for use in making identified changes in their organization.
Objectives:
- Participants will understand the prevalence of invisible disabilities, as well as the impact on employee engagement, productivity, and the organization’s bottom line
- Participants will know how to assess their business practices for accessibility for employees with and without invisible disabilities.
- Participants will understand how to use available resources related to invisible disabilities.
