     Banfield Pet Hospital
     Keynote Speakers:  Brian Garish, President,  Banfield Pet Hospital and Stephanie Neuvirth,  Senior Vice President of People and  Organization, Banfield Pet Hospital

     As President of Banfield Pet Hospital, Brian Garish leads the  vision and strategic direction of the practice. He holds a  bachelors degree in philosophy from Indiana University in  Indianapolis, and serves on the board of the Banfield  Foundation. Brian resides in Portland, Oregon, and enjoys  reading, as well as playing tennis and basketball.

     

     

     

     


    Stephanie Neuvirth, SPHR, is the Senior Vice President,  People and Organization for Banfield Pet Hospital, a division  of Mars Incorporated, Veterinary Health Group.  Stephanie has more than 25 years of broad human resources experience, including HR leadership roles with Mars Food, Mars Petcare, the Walt Disney Company and Advantage Sales and Marketing. Prior to joining Banfield, Stephanie was chief HR and diversity officer for City of Hope, a biomedical cancer research institute and health system. She is a graduate of the University of Denver and holds a masters in business administration from U.S. International University.

    Kristi McFarland, Chief People Officer


    As Chief People Officer of New Season's Market, Kristi is in charge of protecting and maintaining the New Seasons culture, ensuring that people can grow and foster their full potential in support of the company's mission. Kristi brings more than 20 years of human resources experience to New Seasons, building strong company cultures, recruiting top talent, developing people and helping create a great customer experience. Before New Seasons, Kristi was leading human resources at Peets Coffee & Tea, and has also held HR leadership roles at many top brands such as the Gap, Williams-Sonoma and Banana Republic. In her spare time, Kristi is a seasoned yogini, and loves all things outdoors, especially when snow is involved. Speaking of snow, Kristi spends her holidays in Vermont with her family, where she indulges in her favorite meal of all time: cinnamon maple sugar pancakes. So its safe to say she has a bit of a sweet tooth!

    Monique is the Chief People and Administrative Officer for First Tech Federal Credit Union with responsibility for the Human Resources, Learning and Organizational Development, Corporate Communications and Business Planning, Community Investments and Workplace Services activities in the organization. She is in her 10th year at the credit union and has spent more than 20 years in the financial services industry driving programs to promote employee retention, engagement and satisfaction that help the company achieve strong business and member satisfaction results.   Shes actively involved in professional and community organizations, and is a past President of the Northwest Human Resource Management Association (NHRMA), past Director of the Oregon State SHRM Council, and currently chairs the Technology Association of Oregons HR Professionals Group. In 2014 she was named the HR Executive of the Year by the Portland Business Journal. Monique describes herself as a committed soccer mom, a lifelong travel enthusiast, and a diehard Oregon State Beavers fan. When she's not finding new ways to leverage the unique talents of First Tech employees, you can find Monique volunteering at her childrens' schools or managing their youth sports group.
