Amy will be covering the "aging workforce." She will focus on the current/impending retirement crisis and the resulting drop in experience in our labor market. This will lead to employers needing to come up with strategies to deal with the transition from older, experienced workers to a younger generation workforce.

Amy Solis is the Senior Human Resources Analyst for Training and Organizational Development for Thurston County. She has more than 25 years’ experience in the education, corporate, university, and employee development fields. She has held her position with Thurston County since 2007, and has previously worked for Labor Ready and Babies R Us. Amy holds a Master’s degree in Education, with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction from City University; and a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a focus on Special Education, from Central Washington University.
