Keith Meyer LMHC, is a licensed mental health counselor with a Master’s degree in Psychology.  He has been an active practitioner for 23 years and currently has a private practice in Tumwater. Keith has significant education, training and experience working in the areas of PTSD, anxiety disorder and depression. Currently about 70% of his clientele are combat veterans who have PTSD and their family members. He contracts with the Washington State Department of Veteran Affairs as one of their statewide PTSD/War Trauma Outpatient Program Providers as well as with the Federal Government to provide counseling services to veterans and family members.  He also provides consultation and training on PTSD.

1 General HRCI Recertification Credit Approved!

Keith will be focusing on understanding PTSD from a medical point of view as well as a humanistic perspective. Combat veterans offer an employer a unique skill set that would be very beneficial to any organization and he will be providing information on understanding combat veterans’ transition needs in working in the civilian work place.   He will also be discussing and debunking the idea that combat veterans will lose control or go “crazy” at some point.
