    The speakers will be Danica Ersland and Robert Humes.  Danica is an HR and Workforce Management Analyst for State HR Division of the Office of Financial Management.  She has done process improvement consulting projects for public, private, and not for profit entities. She holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Science and a Master’s of Business Administration with emphasis in Human Resources and Operations Management. Robert is a strategic planning specialist for the State HR Division fo the Office of Financial Management.  He's worked in a variety of HR and Higher Education positions where he's focused on developing teams and professionals.  He holds a Master's of Science degree in Human Resources from Brandman University.

    Background:

    Business is in a constant state of change.  Cutting edge social media tools and resources are helping innovative HR managers adapt to today's business communication needs.  Nonetheless, the wide array of tools and resulting data can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate.  Building aligned social media strategies is vital to ensuring HR leaders integrate tools and resources that help us scale business development and organizational design efforts.

    Objectives of Training:

    1. Discuss and define elements that make for successful social media strategy development.
    2. Explore internal and external social media networks in a sample of industries; discuss successes and failures.
    3. Share experiences with social media in business functions; define best practices in building use cases.
    4. Begin to develop a use case highlighting one particular project or HR function within your organization.
